How the HEAT program works

The HEAT strategy assists in achieving exposure for architects and other related designers – including interior designers, landscape architects, public artists and master planners – in Australia, China, Europe, the Middle East and North America.

The HEAT Architecture Program successfully builds relationships between practitioners and commissioners of projects.

HEAT supports Queensland architects and related designers by:

  • Increasing their professional networks
  • Opening the channels of communication between architects and related designers and collaborators
  • Providing business skilling opportunities to help them break into international markets
  • Achieving significant national and international media coverage in opinion-leading publications

HEAT has represented Queensland architects at several high profile events including the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2008 and 2010 and the Shanghai World Expo 2010.
